The all new, all electric Jaguar I-Pace is spotted on the streets and is set for production in 2018! It is reported that the prototype is very similar to the production version but the final product won’t be released until the end of this year.
The I Pace is reported to come equipped with a 90 kWh battery packA that ranges about 500 km. “They are currently only talking about 50 kW DC fast charging.” (electrek) Although that is not necessarily fast hopefully the final production vehicle will have a speedier charge time.
The price is uncertain but it will most likely be priced as a premium vehicle. Experts expect it to compete with the Tesla Model X as well as other electric SUVs coming in the next two years. While the new F-pace, which is gas powered, has an MSRP of $42,000, the I-Pace is set to a much higher $70,000.
